Reverse description The emperor stands facing, head turned to the right, clad in military attire, holding a labarum-style standard in his right hand and a Victory-surmounted globe in his left. The figure is depicted in a commanding, frontal military stance characteristic of late Roman numismatic iconography. The encircling legend GLORIA-ROMANORVM proclaims the glory of the Romans. In the exergue, the mint mark ALE (or ALEA/ALEB depending on officina) identifies the Alexandria mint. A beaded border frames the entire reverse field, and traces of green patina are distributed across the surface.
