Reverse description The reverse depicts a helmeted and robed figure of Constantia or a personification of the Roman state standing facing, holding a long sceptre or spear in the left hand and raising the right hand toward a small figure of a soldier or captive kneeling to the right. To the lower left, a palm frond is visible in the field. The scene alludes to the restoration of prosperous times, consistent with the REPARATIO FEL TEMP type revived under Procopius. The reverse legend REPARATI-O FEL TEMP is distributed on either side of the central type, and the exergue bears the mint mark CONS with the officina letter indicating the striking workshop at Constantinople.
