Obverse description Laureate bust of Maximinus II (Daia) facing right, draped and cuirassed, with finely rendered facial features. The emperor is depicted with a laurel wreath encircling his head, with the wreath beads clearly articulated. The encircling Latin legend reads IMP C GAL VAL MAXIMINVS P F AVG, giving his full imperial titulature. The portrait displays the characteristic late Tetrarchic style, with a robust, slightly stylized rendering of the imperial effigy. The coin's surface retains a green patina consistent with its bronze composition and age.
