Obverse description Laureate bust of Maximinus II as Caesar facing right, draped and cuirassed, with finely rendered radial hair lines beneath the laurel wreath. The effigy displays a strong, youthful profile with pronounced features characteristic of Tetrarchic portraiture. The surrounding legend reads MAXIMINVS NOB CAESAR, distributed clockwise around the rim. The coin surface exhibits a warm brown patina with areas of earthen deposit consistent with burial. The die work reflects the bold, somewhat stylized artistic conventions of the Diocletianic reform coinage.
