| Aanvullende informatie |
Struck at Londinium during the final years of the First Tetrarchy, this issue belongs to the reformed coinage introduced under Diocletian's currency overhaul of 294 — the same reorganization that established Londinium as an official imperial mint after decades of operating primarily as a military supply facility. The London mint was relatively new to producing prestige bronze at this scale, and output from this period is noticeably scarcer than contemporary issues from Continental workshops at Trier or Lyon.
Maximianus abdicated alongside Diocletian on May 1, 305, bringing this precise issue type to a hard close.
