| Reverse description | The Genius of the Roman People (Genius Populi Romani) depicted standing left, nude but for a chlamys draped over the left shoulder, wearing a modius (grain measure) on his head as an attribute of abundance. In his right hand he extends a patera for libation, while his left hand holds a cornucopiae, symbol of fertility and prosperity. An officina letter accompanied by a star appears in the exergue below the ground line, identifying the workshop of issue at the Rome mint. |
