| Opis rewersu | A camp gate with open doors is depicted frontally at the centre of the reverse field, rising in five diminishing tiers or layers, with two flanking turrets above. A single star occupies the space between the turrets, serving as a celestial symbol of imperial authority and divine favour. The reverse legend SPES ROMANORVM arcs around the design, proclaiming the emperor as the hope of the Roman people. The exergue contains the mint mark denoting the Lugdunum officina. The overall design follows the established late Roman campgate type adapted under Magnus Maximus to assert dynastic legitimacy. |
