| Obverse description | Bare-headed and draped bust of Licinius II as Caesar facing right, with finely striated hair combed forward over the brow in the style typical of young Tetrarchic princes. The youthful effigy displays a cuirassed or draped shoulder visible at the truncation. The circumferential Latin legend reads LICINIVS IVN NOB CAESAR, running clockwise around the portrait within a beaded border. |

In the exergue, a dot-framed mintmark identifies the Thessalonica mint and its fifth officina, rendered as •TS•∈•. |
