| Beschrijving voorzijde | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Licinius II as Caesar facing right, rendered in the military style typical of Tetrarchic and early Constantinian portraiture. The laureate wreath is clearly rendered, and the cuirass is depicted with detailed strapping over the draped paludamentum visible at the shoulder. The facial features are youthful, befitting his status as a junior Caesar, with bold, slightly stylised relief characteristic of the Siscia mint. The encircling Latin legend reads LICINIVS IVN NOB C, identifying the subject as Licinius the Younger, Noble Caesar. |
