| Obverse description | Radiate, draped bust of Licinius II facing right, depicted as Caesar with youthful features, holding a globe and sceptre in the right hand and a mappa in the left hand. The effigy is rendered in the imperial military style characteristic of the Constantinian period. The obverse legend encircles the bust, identifying the subject by his full titulature. The portrait conveys the junior co-emperor's rank through its elaborate regalia and the distinctive attributes of ceremonial authority. |
