Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Licinius II as Caesar facing left, rendered in the late Roman imperial style with finely detailed paludamentum fastened at the right shoulder. The youthful effigy features close-cropped hair beneath a laurel wreath, characteristic of early fourth-century portraiture. The circular legend surrounds the bust, separated from the coin's beaded border. The modelling of the drapery and armour reflects the workshop quality of the Thessalonica mint during the Tetrarchic period.
