Obverse description Laureate, cuirassed bust of Emperor Licinius I facing right, rendered in the robust military style typical of the Tetrarchic period. The emperor wears a radiate laurel wreath and segmented plate armor, with paludamentum visible at the shoulder. The obverse legend IMP LICINIVS P F AVG runs clockwise around the periphery, partially visible through patination. The portrait exhibits strong, idealized features consistent with the official imperial iconography of the early fourth century.
