| Obverse description | Laureate, cuirassed bust of Emperor Licinius I facing right, portrayed with confident imperial bearing typical of the Tetrarchic period. The laureate wreath is rendered with careful detail, and the cuirass is visible at the truncation of the bust. The encircling Latin legend runs clockwise from the lower left field. The portrait exhibits the compact, stylized treatment characteristic of early fourth-century Roman provincial die engraving. |
