An eagle stands at his feet, holding a wreath in its beak. A captive figure is depicted to the right, seated or kneeling in a posture of submission. The value mark X over II with the Greek letter Gamma (Γ) appears in the right field, denoting the coin's tariffed value. The reverse legend IOVI CONS-ERVATORI, invoking Jupiter as the Preserver, runs around the field, with the Nicomedia mint mark (SMN followed by an officina letter) in the exergue.
