| Beschrijving keerzijde | Jupiter standing facing left, nude save for a chlamys draped over his left shoulder, extending his right hand to present a globe surmounted by a small winged Victory holding a wreath, while his left hand grasps a long vertical sceptre. At his feet to the left, an eagle stands facing left with its head turned right and upward, a wreath held in its beak — a conventional attribute of Jovian iconography on late Roman imperial coinage. The mint mark appears in the exergue, identifying the emission as struck at the Cyzicus mint. The reverse legend IOVI CONSERVATORI runs along the upper field, invoking Jupiter as protector of the emperor. |
