A star appears in the right field, reinforcing the divine celestial associations of the Sol imagery. The reverse legend is divided across the field, with the mint mark PLN appearing in the exergue, identifying the Londinium mint. The type belongs to the widespread Sol Invictus reverse series promoted under Constantine and his colleagues during the early fourth century. |
