Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Licinius I facing right, rendered in the late Roman imperial style with finely articulated paludamentum and lorica segmentata visible at the shoulder. The laureate wreath is depicted with characteristic radiating leaves. The obverse legend IMP LICINIVS P F AVG runs clockwise around the periphery in incuse Latin capitals. The portrait displays the characteristic features of Licinian coinage from the Treveri mint, with a strong, bearded profile and pronounced brow.
