| Beschrijving voorzijde | Bare-headed, draped and cuirassed bust of Julian II (as Caesar) facing right, rendered in the late Roman imperial portrait style typical of the Constantinian period. The effigy displays closely cropped hair and clearly articulated pauldron and drapery folds over the left shoulder. The encircling Latin legend reads D N IVLIA-NVS NOB C, identifying the emperor as Noble Caesar. A beaded border frames the entire design. The flan is irregular and shows characteristic surface patination of a circulated bronze nummus. |
