Reverse description The personification of Securitas stands facing left in the central field, rendered as a draped female figure in long robes, her right hand lowered and holding a long branch downward toward the ground, her left arm gathered in her drapery. She stands upon a low ground line or plinth, conveying the goddess of public security at repose. The circumferential Latin legend SECVRITAS REIPVBLICE divides across both sides of the field. In the exergue, the mint mark PTRE or STRE identifies the officina of the Trier mint responsible for striking this issue.
