| Beschrijving voorzijde | Right-facing bust of Emperor Gratian, pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed, rendered in the late Roman imperial style characteristic of the Theodosian period. The pearl diadem is rendered with fine detail, with individual beads clearly delineated across the brow.
