| Descrizione del dritto | Diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Gratianus facing right, with a pearl diadem visible along the crown of the head. The portrait displays the characteristic late Roman imperial style with a slightly idealized rendering. The obverse legend runs clockwise around the bust, interrupted by the neck truncation. The flan is slightly irregular, as typical of late Roman aes coinage of this period. |

The reverse legend SECVRITAS-REIPVBLICAE is distributed in two lines around the figure. The exergue contains the mint mark, denoting the Rome mint officina. The style and execution are consistent with late fourth-century Roman imperial bronze coinage. |
