A Victory figure or globe may appear in her extended right hand, consistent with RIC IX type 56a. The legend CONCOR-DIA AVGGG encircles the design, invoking concordia among the three co-emperors (Gratian, Valentinian II, and Theodosius I). In the exergue appears the mint mark CONSS, denoting the sixth officina of the Constantinople mint, with the officina numeral I visible in the reverse field. |
