| Obverse description | Diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Gratian facing right, wearing a pearl diadem with elaborate curled hair rendered in fine detail. The emperor is depicted in military dress with paludamentum fastened at the shoulder, conveying imperial authority.
