Reverse description The Genius of the Roman People (Genius Populi Romani) stands facing left, depicted as a tall, nude or semi-draped male figure wearing a modius (grain measure) on his head, holding a patera in his right hand from which he pours a libation, and a cornucopia in his left hand. The field to the left bears the Greek officina letter Γ (gamma), and the letter B appears in the lower field, denoting the officina and workshop respectively. The encircling Latin legend reads GENIO POPVLI ROMANI. The reverse exhibits the bold, hieratic style characteristic of Diocletianic reform coinage struck at the Treveri mint.
