She cradles two infants in her arms, one on each side, an allusion to Fausta's role as imperial mother and to the dynastic continuity of the Constantinian house. The encircling legend SALVS REI PVBLICAE proclaims the health of the Republic. The mint mark in the exergue records the Treveri officina of issue. |
