Reverse description Salus, the personification of health and well-being of the Roman state, stands facing front at centre, her head turned slightly to the left, draped in a long tunic and mantle. She cradles two infants in her arms, one on each side, an allusion to Fausta's role as imperial mother and to the dynastic continuity of the Constantinian house. The encircling legend SALVS REI PVBLICAE proclaims the health of the Republic. The mint mark in the exergue records the Treveri officina of issue.
