Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Crispus facing right, rendered in the typical Constantinian military portrait style. The laureate wreath is finely detailed, resting on closely cropped hair, with the paludamentum fastened at the shoulder by a fibula visible at the lower truncation. The cuirass is articulated with overlapping pteryges. The circumferential legend CRISPVS NOB CAES runs from lower left to upper right around the effigy.
