Obverse description Draped and cuirassed bust of Crispus facing right, head laureate. The portrait presents the young Caesar in a military cuirass with paludamentum visible at the shoulder, rendered in the characteristic late Constantinian style. The obverse legend encircles the bust, reading CRISPVS NOB CAES, identifying him as the noble Caesar. The facial features are youthful and idealized, consistent with his depiction on coinage struck prior to his execution in 326 AD.
