Reverse description A globe set upon a decorated altar, inscribed VO/TIS/XX in three lines within the altar face, commemorating votive offerings for twenty years of rule. Three stars appear above the globe, flanking the upper field. The mint control marks C and R appear in the left and right fields respectively, with the exergual inscription PLG denoting the first officina of the Lugdunum mint. The encircling legend BEATA TRANQVILLITAS, meaning 'Blessed Tranquility', refers to the peace and prosperity of Constantine's reign.
