| Descrizione del rovescio | Two winged Victories, draped, stand facing one another at either side of a low altar, together supporting a large inscribed shield resting upon the altar. Within the square frame atop the altar a laurel wreath is depicted, symbolising perpetual victory and imperial triumph. The legend is divided between the reverse field and the exergue, with VOT PR appearing in the field and the mintmark PLN in the exergue, identifying the Londinium mint. The composition is symmetrical and emblematic of the Victoriae Laetae Princ Perp type widely struck across western mints during the Constantinian period. |
