Obverse description Helmeted, cuirassed bust of Crispus as Caesar facing left, depicted in military dress with a shield held in the right hand and a spear thrust forward in the left. The effigy presents Crispus in the manner of a commanding military figure, consistent with his rank as Caesar under his father Constantine I. The encircling Latin legend identifies the subject by name and title, reading from the obverse field in the conventional arrangement of the period.
