Reverse description A celestial globe set upon a rectangular inscribed altar, flanked by the officina letter F to the left and B to the right in the fields, with three stars arrayed above the globe, symbolising divine favour and cosmic order. The altar face bears the votive inscription VOT IS XX, recording formal vows for the twentieth anniversary of reign. The mint mark PLON appears in the exergue, identifying the London mint (Londinium). The reverse legend BEATA TRANQLITAS encircles the design, invoking the concept of blessed tranquillity, a common Constantinian propagandistic motif.
