| Obverse description | Helmeted and cuirassed bust of Crispus as Caesar facing left, depicted in military attire with a crested helmet and detailed armour rendered in the characteristic late Roman imperial style. The portrait is rendered in profile with strong, youthful features befitting Crispus's status as heir apparent. The surrounding Latin legend identifies the subject by name and title, running clockwise around the periphery of the flan. The coin exhibits the irregular, slightly uneven flan typical of hammered bronze nummi of the Constantinian period. |

| Reverse description | A celestial globe set upon a rectangular inscribed altar, flanked by the officina letter F to the left and B to the right in the fields, with three stars arrayed above the globe, symbolising divine favour and cosmic order. The altar face bears the votive inscription VOT IS XX, recording formal vows for the twentieth anniversary of reign. The mint mark PLON appears in the exergue, identifying the London mint (Londinium). The reverse legend BEATA TRANQLITAS encircles the design, invoking the concept of blessed tranquillity, a common Constantinian propagandistic motif. |
