Reverse description The emperor Constantius II stands facing left in full military attire, wearing a cuirass and paludamentum, holding an orb surmounted by a Victory in his extended right hand and resting a long spear in his left. The figure is rendered in the hieratic, frontalising style typical of late Roman numismatic art. The mint mark SMKA appears in the exergue, identifying the emission as the first officina of the Cyzicus mint. The reverse legend SPES REIPVBLICE encircles the field, and a beaded border defines the coin's perimeter.
