Obverse description Pearl-diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Constantius II facing right, rendered in the late Roman imperial style with a string of pearls forming the diadem. The portrait displays the characteristic elongated features associated with Constantian-era coinage. The obverse legend surrounds the imperial effigy, reading D N CONSTAN-TIVS P F AVG, identifying the emperor with his full titulature. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show heavy encrustation consistent with prolonged burial, partially obscuring fine die detail.
