The youthful, beardless effigy is rendered in the high-relief style characteristic of the Treveri mint. The encircling Latin legend reads FL IVL CONSTANTIVS NOB C, identifying the emperor as Flavius Julius Constantius, most noble Caesar, set within a beaded border. |
