| Beschrijving keerzijde | Two helmeted, draped, and cuirassed soldiers stand facing one another in three-quarter view, each holding an inverted spear in the outer hand and resting the inner hand upon a grounded shield. Between the two figures stands a single legionary standard, the central motif of the GLORIA EXERCITVS type. The reverse legend is divided across the field in two segments flanking the central group, with the exergue bearing a dot followed by the mint and officina mark of the Trier mint. The composition reflects the standardized military propaganda iconography common to the Constantinian dynasty. |
