Reverse description Two helmeted Roman soldiers standing facing one another, each wearing military dress and resting their inner hand on a grounded spear while holding a shield at their outer side. Between the two soldiers stands a single legionary standard topped with a Chi-Rho christogram. The reverse legend GLORIA EXERCITVS, meaning 'Glory of the Army', encircles the type, and the mint mark appears in the exergue identifying the Heraclea officina.
