Reverse description Two helmeted, draped, and cuirassed soldiers standing facing one another, each holding an inverted spear in the outer hand and resting the inner hand upon a grounded shield; between them stands a single legionary standard topped with a crossbar and circular finial. The composition is symmetrically arranged within the field, emphasizing martial imagery central to Constantinian dynastic propaganda. The circumferential legend GLOR*IA EXERC-ITVS is divided across the upper field, with a decorative star interrupting the obverse legend. The exergue contains the mintmark denoting the Cyzicus mint and the relevant officina letter, prefixed SMK.
