| Reverse description | A Roman soldier, depicted in military dress and advancing to the left, thrusts his spear downward at a fallen horseman who wears a Phrygian helmet and grasps the neck of his horse in a gesture of supplication. This composition is the canonical FEL TEMP REPARATIO fallen horseman type, conveying Roman military supremacy. A control letter appears in the left field, and a dot is present in the centre of the design. The mint signature and officina letter are placed in the exergue. A beaded border surrounds the reverse field. |
