正面描述 Right-facing bust of Emperor Constantius II, pearl-diademed, draped, and cuirassed, rendered in the late Roman imperial style. The legend encircles the bust in a continuous arc across the obverse field. A control mark appears in the left field behind the imperial bust. The portrait conveys the conventional idealized effigy characteristic of Constantinian-era bronze coinage.

附加信息

The FEL TEMP REPARATIO ("happy times are here again") coinage was issued on a massive scale across western mints following the usurpation of Magnentius, functioning less as a monetary statement than a propaganda campaign to reassert Constantius II's legitimacy after years of civil war. Aquileia was a critical node in that effort — the city had served as Magnentius's own mint before his defeat at the Battle of Mons Seleucus in 353, and its rapid reintegration into the imperial system made production there politically loaded.

RIC VIII 193 belongs to the falling horseman type, struck in the brief window before the denomination was progressively debased into the smaller, cruder issues of the late 350s.
