The figure is depicted in full military or regal dress, with the radiate crown prominently displayed above the head. The surrounding legend REQVIES OPTIMORVM MERITORVM encircles the design, proclaiming the well-deserved repose granted to men of great merit. The mint mark SIS appears in the exergue, identifying the Siscia mint as the place of striking.
