Reverse description A helmeted Roman soldier stands facing left in military attire, holding a spear or standard in his right hand; with his left he drags a small fallen barbarian figure by the hair. A round shield lies at the soldier's feet in the lower field. The reverse type belongs to the 'fallen horseman' or 'soldier spearing fallen horseman' variant of the FEL TEMP REPARATIO series, here rendered as the soldier-and-captive type. The legend FEL TEMP REPARATIO encircles the design within a beaded border, with the mint mark of the Rome officina placed in the exergue.
