| Reverse description | A helmeted, draped, and cuirassed Roman soldier advances to the left, thrusting a spear downward with his right hand into a fallen enemy horseman; a shield is borne on the soldier's left arm, with a second shield resting on the ground to the right. The fallen horseman is bearded, facing the soldier, and extends his left arm in a gesture of supplication or defense. A control mark appears in the left field, with the mint signature and officina letter(s) recorded in the exergue. The composition exemplifies the standard FEL TEMP REPARATIO 'fallen horseman' type widely produced across imperial mints in the early 350s. |
