The legend VOT V MVLT X CAESS occupies the central field, commemorating the vows (vota) taken on the fifth anniversary of the Caesars' rule and anticipating the tenth. The wreath encircles the inscription, with the mint mark TSB appearing in the exergue, denoting the second officina of the Thessalonica mint. The overall composition is austere and epigraphic in character, reflecting the standardised votive reverse types introduced under Constantine I. |
