Obverse description Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Constantine II as Caesar facing left, rendered in the Constantinian military style with fine detailing on the paludamentum and lorica. The radiate crown, a vestige of the earlier antoninianus denomination, crowns the youthful effigy. The circumferential Latin legend is divided by the bust and reads CONSTANTINVS IVN N C, identifying the prince as nobilissimus Caesar. A beaded border frames the entire design.
