| Reverse description | A camp gate with two battlemented turrets, depicted without doors, with a varying number of horizontal stone courses rendered in low relief. A single star occupies the upper field above the gateway, serving as a celestial symbol of imperial providence and divine favour. The reverse legend PROVIDEN-TIAE CAESS, split across the field on either side of the gate, invokes the providential care of the two Caesars. The mintmark of the Heraclea mint, preceded by the officina letter, appears in the exergue. The whole design is enclosed within a beaded border. |
