| Reverse description | Constantine II as Caesar stands facing left in military dress, wearing a crested helmet and cuirass, holding a reversed spear in his right hand and resting his left hand upon a grounded shield decorated with a boss. To either side of the figure in the field appear the officina marks T (left) and F (right), denoting the second officina of the Treveri mint. The exergue carries the mint mark BTR. The surrounding legend PRINCIPI IVVENTVTIS proclaims the Caesar as 'Prince of Youth,' a traditional honorific for imperial heirs. |
