Obverse description Laureate, cuirassed bust of Constantinus II facing right, rendered in the RIC bust type B5 style. The emperor's effigy is depicted with a laurel wreath crown and visible cuirass detailing at the shoulder. The circular Latin legend runs along the obverse field surrounding the portrait. The workmanship is typical of the Thessalonican mint during the later Constantinian period, displaying competent but slightly provincial die-cutting.

Reverse description Two helmeted soldiers standing facing one another, each holding a reversed spear in the outer hand, with two military standards — each bearing a roundel — placed between them in the central field. The composition is a variant of the GLORIA EXERCITVS type featuring two standards rather than the later single-standard reduction. The exergue carries the mint mark SMTSB denoting the second officina of the Thessalonica mint. The reverse legend is divided across the field on either side of the standards, with the soldiers rendered in the flat, stylised manner characteristic of Constantinian bronze coinage.
