| 背面描述 | Two helmeted soldiers, each armored and cloaked in military dress, stand facing one another in a confronted arrangement, each resting an inner hand upon a single legionary standard positioned centrally between them. The standard, surmounted by a Chi-Rho or eagle finial and decorated with a series of globular ornaments along its shaft, serves as the principal focal motif of the Gloria Exercitus reverse type in its single-standard variant introduced circa 335–337. The divided legend GLOR-IA EXERC-ITVS, meaning “Glory of the Army,” arcs around the upper field, while the exergue carries the mint mark (PLG or SLG with crescent) identifying the Lugdunum officina. The overall composition is bold and symmetrical, executed in the low-relief hammered style typical of this late Constantinian bronze series. |
