Between the two figures stand two military standards, a composition emblematic of the GLORIA EXERCITVS ('Glory of the Army') type. The reverse legend GLOR-IA EXERC-ITVS is divided on either side of the central group. The mintmark and officina letter appear in the exergue, taking the forms SMKA•, SMKΓ•, SMKΔ•, or SMKE• depending on the issuing workshop, identifying the Cyzicus mint. |
